Cornwall is one of the UK’s top destinations for dog walking holidays, offering miles of scenic coastal paths, woodland trails, and National Trust walks perfect for exploring with your dog. With open countryside, dramatic cliffs, and fresh sea air, it’s an ideal spot for active breaks with pets. The top dog walks in Cornwall will take you along picturesque coastal paths, across clean beaches, through National Trust landscapes.
As a nation of animal-lovers, 56% of Brits travel with their dog, according to data published by Statista, with 22% saying they simply wouldn’t enjoy a holiday without their furry friend. Two in five Brits believe their pet needs a break too. Dog lovers can rejoice at the selection of dog-friendly beaches in Cornwall, especially since many coastal resorts in other parts of the country ban pets, either just in summer or all year round.
Dog-friendly campsites
Cornwall is home to some of the UK’s best dog-friendly campsites, with Globe Vale Holiday Park near Redruth offering easy access to beaches, countryside trails, and coastal walks. Dogs are welcome to join the adventure at this family-friendly campsite, which provides spacious tent pitches, caravan facilities, and plenty of room to explore the surrounding landscapes.
Our dedicated room, the Beacon terrace, invites owners and their pets to relax together while having a meal at our onsite restaurant and bar, The Shaft Inn.
While dogs need to be kept on a lead in the park’s public areas, we also provide a designated exercise area, where they can run free and enjoy ball games. We’re a slice of doggy heaven!
