We Are Delighted To Have Been Awarded The AA’s New ‘Platinum’ – Elite Campsite Award.
The AA Inspector’s comments for 2018:
It was good to visit Globe Vale again and this year meet with the owner Paul who kindly showed me around.
Paul was busy with new lodges and caravans but the touring side is definitely not overlooked.
The facilities were spotless with top grade fixtures and fittings with new cladding fitted to one of the toilet blocks. The dish wash areas and laundry room were equally as clean.
Out on the park, new road coverings have been added, more hardwearing gravel, which does not go to dust easily.
The pitches were well maintained with the surrounding grounds, trees and shrubs all looking good.
The children’s play area has been completely refurbished with new equipment fitted, all made in house, which looked really good.
The bar/restaurant looked clean and tidy and it’s a very popular venue with outside seating.
A very well managed and maintained park and I have no hesitation in awarding Globe Vale a Platinum status. Well done all.
I can confirm that the AA classification is 5 Pennant with the new PLATINUM award – an elite AA park.
Globe Vale improves on its 5 pennant (gold) standard grading – again!
AA Inspection Report 2017:
Chris, the park manager, greeted me on arrival in reception and he kindly agreed to show me around. The pitches were very well maintained and Chris said they had levelled a sloping area (originally grass pitches) and added a further 33 fully serviced hardstanding pitches. The ground landscaping was excellent with the hedges, trees and shrubs all looking very good. The toilets and showers were very well appointed and spotlessly clean as was the dish wash area and laundry room. A good recycling system is in operation and locations are well marked. The well-stocked shop, bar/restaurant were all looking clean and tidy. A very well maintained park with good investment year on year. Well done to all at Globe Vale.
I can confirm that the AA 5 Pennant classification with a slight increase in the quality score to an excellent 94%.
AA Inspection Report 2016:
Globe Vale has been extended yet again. Owner Paul Owen has bought more land, which he is turning into a new Recreational area and an area for wild camping. Also, a new Caravan Storage area has been created and already has some occupancy. There is also a new enclosed dog exercise area.
The toilet and shower facilities are of outstanding quality with high quality fixtures and fittings. The laundry area is also high quality with washing machines that require no washing liquids, as they are automatically fed from behind the scenes.
The views from this site are incredible with 3 historic tin mines in a line as you drive down the lane to the site. In light of the improvements to this site I have raised the Quality Score to 92%.
In terms of AA Quality Standards, Globe Vale continues to attain a 5 Pennant rating within The AA Caravan & Camping Scheme, with an increased quality score of 92% (Gold Pennant Standard), and I wish Paul a very successful 2016 season.

AA Inspection Report 2015:
Globe Vale is a fantastic, award-winning site and has come on in leaps and bounds since my last visit 3 years ago. Reached by driving through a very smart static caravan area, I received a warm welcome from Paul, who kindly drove me round his site for inspection.
The grasses looked beautiful and the trees and shrubs are maturing nicely giving this site a really rural feel. My compliments to the ground maintenance staff. I found the toilets/showers to be pristine and absolutely spotless with every conceivable fixture and fitting necessary.
Paul informed me that improvements for this season include the installation of a high speed Wi-Fi system and a new shop on site.
In terms of AA Quality Standards, Globe Vale continues to attain a 5 Pennant rateing within the AA Caravan & Camping Scheme, with an increased quality score to 90% (Gold Pennant standard), and I wish Paul a very successful 2015 season.

AA Inspection Report 2014:
Every year I visit this superb park there are improvements for me to see. I received a very friendly welcome from Paul, who accompanied me on my inspection and was keen to show me the excellent terracing on the fully serviced pitch area. This very tidy park covers an area of 13 acres with plenty of open space. There are 99 touring pitches and 39 statics of which some are for hire. Well-maintained touring areas all have well cut grass and expertly trimmed hedges and shrubs. There are two facility blocks, one of which Paul very proudly designed and built to the highest quality; both are well equipped and spotlessly clean. There is a very comfortable bar and conservatory, tastefully equipped for dining and overlooking a patio area and children’s play area. The menu has a good choice of locally sourced foods. Congratulations to Paul and his team for the continuous improvements. I can confirm the AA 5 Pennant rating with an increased Quality Score of 87%.

AA Inspection Report June 2012: Set in 13 acres of rural countryside this touring site is ideally located for exploring some of Cornwall’s famous beaches. Paul kindly accompanied me around his site and I found the Reception and Information Room very modern and bright. In addition to a static park, this is a really well-manicured site with an exceptionally well thought out “fully serviced pitch” area for tourers. The facilities blocks have all been designed and manufactured by Paul and, not only are they of exceptional quality, but they are very clean and tidy, and spotlessly clean. There is also a good games room adjacent to the bar and play area. The bar has been upgraded for this season, and every facility on this site is top class with modern fixtures and fittings. Improvements made for this season: New Motorhome Service Point; Heating installed in facilities I can confirm the upgrade to the AA 5 PENNANT RATING with a well deserved Quality Score of 85%.
