AA Inspection Report June 2012: Set in 13 acres of rural countryside this touring site is ideally located for exploring some of Cornwall's famous beaches. Paul kindly accompanied me around his site and I found the Reception and Information Room very modern and bright. In addition to a static park, this is a really well-manicured site with an exceptionally well thought out "fully serviced pitch" area for tourers. The facilities blocks have all been designed and manufactured by Paul and, not only are they of exceptional quality, but they are very clean and tidy, and spotlessly clean. There is also a good games room adjacent to the bar and play area. The bar has been upgraded for this season, and every facility on this site is top class with modern fixtures and fittings.
Improvements made for this season: New Motorhome Service Point; Heating installed in facilities block.
I can confirm the upgrade to the AA 5 PENNANT RATING with a well deserved Quality Score of 85%.

Just a quick note to say a very big thank you... all three families have had a lovely weekend at your campsite, and we will all be back. The cycle ride to Portreath was lovely, not too far and mostly level so the children managed it without any moaning. Paul very kindly welcomed me to his site, and accompanied me on my inspection, firstly showing me the new Reception and Information Room. In addition to the static caravans, this is a really well-manicured site with an exceptionally well thought out 'fully serviced' area for tourers. There is also a good games room in the bar,and a children's play area - all of which have top class modern fixtures and fittings. I can confirm the AA 4 Pennant rating with a well-deserved increased quality % score of 85%.

Firstly can I say a big thank you for all yours and Paul's great kind hospitality during our stay... you have excellent facilities on site - a credit to you both. The site was very clean and everyone was so friendly. You and Paul were very accommodating even when I needed to do my ironing! Your children are also a credit to you, very polite and well mannered. The toilet and shower facilities are plenty and always very clean, even when the weather was really bad!. The bar was also very welcoming and fairly priced and Liz also very friendly. Globe Vale is central to most attractions, but one week was not enough time to see them all!. Thanks for making our week at Globe Vale so pleasant. We have never met such friendly staff who are so proud of their holiday park. There was plenty of room for the kids to play and all the facilities are so clean. The site is only a few minutes drive from some lovely Cornish surfing beaches. We would recommend it to anyone. M. A friendly welcome from Paul and Louise at Reception... The toilet/shower block was fresh, bright and spotlessly clean and incorporates a unisex family room, also fitted for disabled and has a baby changer unit...Laundry room and dish washroom were clean and tidy. All grassy areas were well mown and strimmed, with far reaching views across the countryside... There is also a well equipped and maintained childrens playground. I found good attention to detail in all areas of this family owned and run park which deserves its 4 Pennant status with an increased Quality Award of 79% to reflect on-going progress here. We stayed in a static caravan last year and decided to give the Meadow a go this year in our tent. We had a fantastic time and even the drizzly rain didn't dampen us, after all it's only rain! The facilities are superb, really family orientated and manintained to a very high standard. The food in the bar is very reasonably priced, good sized portions and extremely tasty... Altogether a wonderful holiday, made special by the dedication of yourselves and your staff. We will be back very soon, and will definitely recommend you to our friends. Mr and Mrs Upton, August 2009

Louise replies: Since October 2003 when we arrived here, we have modernised the whole site - this year we are building a new shower block for the Meadow area, and extending the kitchen at the bar. The childrens play area will also have a couple of new additions for the 2010 season!
We have stayed on lots of parks, and yours is kept so clean and well cared for. Your shower/toilet facilities are excellent

We just wanted to let you know that we had a lovely time camping on your site. Great for the kids - so much space to play in, even when full. Pitches are a good size, new shower block luxury. We would recommend it to anyone, great central location to visit beaches/attractions Mr A Timmis and family
Louise replies: We decided to just use the perimeter of the field for pitches, to have plenty of space for playing etc.even at our busiest times. People have also found that it is easy to visit lots of areas from here, as we have good access to the A30

With regard to our holiday, thanks for your warm welcome and support, we were there with the Yorkshire and Pennine Caravan Club. We had a great relaxed holiday with plenty of body boarding at the fantastic beach of Porthtowan, we did not want to come home The Green Family
Louise replies: Glad you enjoyed your time here. As Porthtowan is only 10 mins from the park, you don't need to travel far for some good surf!
A lovely quiet park, tranquil countryside setting. Access to the shower facilities is very good via the ramp (not too bumpy!). The disabled shower room is brilliant, good turning space for maunual/electric wheelchairs - a lovely big mirror!. Excellently fitted out for comfort, with plenty of rails, and seat in the shower. Sink at good height as well. Nice wide doorways to shower, laundry and washing up area. Donna Aubrey

Dear Louise and Paul... just to say thank you for a fantastic 2 weeks- despite bad weather.. after 10 nights we moved into a caravan (from tent), which was excellent value and so clean. We tried a bit of both types of holiday! Your campsite is so clean, quiet and so much space. The shower block is the best I have ever seen, and the washing machine and dryer were a godsend.
You are both so helpful with information and we did try beaches that you both recommended (Gunwalloe and Crantock)... hopefully we will be back next year The Cook Family
